You knew it was happening, we all knew this day was coming, and here we are.

Block Wars... 2.

Otherwise known as (for those who weren't aware of this title) Block Wars: Episode V - The Blockpire Done Goofed.

Let's hope to loving god this one doesn't take nine years to complete.

I know what you might be thinking, Swholli, if you're on vacation in New York city, why didn't you just wait until you got back to create this topic with proper graphics and not use a logo you made 7 years ago? Well the answer is that something big (or should I say someone big) has happened. I can't reveal the surprise yet, but let's just say I have a good one.

So, I'm here to announce that we are officially in pre-production mode. The script is still being written by myself and JJJMan (Cowboy Dude), and we're about a quarter of a way finished. But of course, like any good sequel, this one has to be bigger and better so despite the fact that I'm not done writing, I'm coming to you all to ask for your help.

Last Block Wars I did most of the voice acting on my own, as you could probably tell, so this time I'd like the bit parts to actually be filled by community members. This is a Blockland machinima afterall, it should have collaborations in it! So please, if you think you are at all talented with your voice or just want to speak a small line by a stormtrooper, please feel free to audition in this thread. All I need is a small vocaroo recording of you reading anything (we just need to hear your voice and get a feel for it so we know it'll be right for the production).

If you think you've got the talent (and hopefully the mic quality) there are still a few main characters available:

Lando Calrissian
Boba Fett
The Wampa
Admiral Piett
Admiral Ozzel

Otherwise, there are plenty of stormtroopers and rebel troopers and small characters that you'll probably get a part.

As always, this general discussion topic will serve as the hub of communication for all things Block Wars, but this time around I have created an official production blog where I will be posting tidbits about the production as well as behind the scenes videos that would just clog up this topic (plus it'd spoil the general public some stuff too). So feel free to keep an eye on that and good luck with the voice auditions.

I hope you're all ready for Block Wars 2, you son's of bitches. I'l keep you all updated on things to come.

i was expecting a long pause and then "...all to ask for your help" but no you baited everyone.

i'd like to be some sort of modeler or model animator or something. i can make you custom items and bricks and depending on what happens maybe bots too who knows??

assuming the models don't have to be made super bug-free i can churn them out pretty fast on demand, esp bricks.

Being a machinima that only requires stuff for visual reasons and not practical, buggy stuff is fine.

The original Block Wars (2009) had nothing but broken addons that were literally used just for show and not ever intended for release to the general public.

So yes, definitely any help in this area will be appreciated, there's a lot that will need to be made.

The actor who played Admiral Ozzel (Michael Sheard) also played Riddler in five different films and Heinrich Himmler once, so I think it'd be funny to make Ozzel a national socialist.
