i played the first game through and i gotta say it wasn't THAT bad.
It's the hip thing to stuff on a popular publisher.
The game was faulted (especially pre-release), but it's nowhere near terrible. It was just missing some essential polish on the topic that you would get in a game like GTA V which had MORE developers, a BIGGER budget and a LONGER development timespan.
Also, people don't realise how bad the game would be if you had to do a minigame for every single little hack, which is why I completely discredit that criticism every time I hear it. Aside from being tedious, the game wants to emphasis that you are more powerful in the system than you are in real life, and that helps stress the importance of completing the radio tower side-quests and makes missions where hacking is impossible that much harder.
