Well, a pneumothorax isn't exactly a "lung collapse". It's just a leak of air pressing against your lung which got there by infiltration (spontaneous) or by a trauma.
but then if left alone the lining will expand and then eventually collapse a portion of the lung, I'm just glad it was only a small portion for me
