What I don't understand is why OP and Lord Tony are so bothered by something they don't even believe in.

lately ive entertained the idea that some people need purpose. they need authority and need to feel like they aren't in control

its easier to believe someone is silently watching over you and taking care of you instead of believing that you're alone and that its all on you, for better or for worse. its probably very liberating

Our current timeline has done some pretty impossible things that people 2,000 years ago couldn't comprehend.

Blind people can see thanks to technolgy.

We can now control robotic limbs by brain waves.
