I'd be open to stricter gun control. Gun violence is a major crime here in the US, and the lack of firearm training results in a plethora of gun-related accidents and deaths. It's a pretty big issue, regardless of your stance on gun control. On the other hand, getting rid of everyone's guns is really, really not going to work and I am in favor of owning guns for self defense and concealed carry so long as you have a permit and sufficient training.

Radical Islam is not the source of a problem, it's a symptom. You people settle on something as dumb as a religious belief to be the main antagonist to fit your world narrative but the truth is that the problem lies in a multitude of problems.

Between the growing disdain of western society over in the middle east, the constant power struggles and the guerrilla forces running rampant, and the abhorrent treatment of the mentally ill over here in the states or the oversaturation of mass shootings in media, there is way more to the Orlando shooting than just "lol muslims"

You're right, but with the element of surprise it will stay just as easy to kill one person. No matter how many men with guns you have in a room, you can't stop a crazy guy from whipping his out and blowing a hole in the local senator's head. Enforced gun-free zones stop that sort of thing.

Also to the gun free zone thing, gun laws don't stop people who don't follow the laws. The police do not have the time, budget and manpower to enforce a gun law to the point to preventing gun violence, especially mass shootings

a bunch of gun happy idiots walking around with guns sounds like a great idea. how many would-be harmless fights would escelate to shootings if "everyone could arm themselves"? how many gun related accidents would occur? im all for people being allowed guns, assuming theres sufficient background checks and training they go through to own them.

i think the correct solution to this problem is improved security in public establishments. not stricter law enforemcent, but security guards, bouncers ect. trained individuals who can operate a firearm efficiently with good judgement, resulting in more shootings being stopped before they happen

If I want to kill a politician, it's gonna be a lot easier to whip out a gun and fire into him from the crowd than it will be to climb onto the stage, push past his bodyguard(s), and begin to maul him with my spoon.
