Quote from: Changelog
Such an amazing moment of excitement whenever an improved version of CEMU is released.

This update brings us :
improved interpreter and recompiler, which means compatibility with more games such as Splatoon, Hyrule Warriors, DK Tropical Freeze

a few graphical improvements; Zelda Twilight no longer has the missing limbs. (More to be tested out..)

VerticalSync for those that wanted

Technical Info :

Added new cpu instructions

Added new APIs

Added some new input API

Added some 13 changes to graphic work handler.

Overall, these are improvements to what we had before, but games like Monster Hunter 3 still do not boot. Bayonetta 2 still does not boot.

Check out the improvements video for Cemu 1.5.4!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVISuSG6ab4

According to what I saw, this is what improvements seem to be:

Better support for games: Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Splatoon!

Shadows are supported! :)

Shiny stuff are supported :D

There appears to be better FPS too!

Sadly I don't support Cemu for Patreon, so I cannot test this for myself

Recently I've been playing Ape Escape 3 on my actual PS2, but hot damn this game looks great and the higher resolution in PCSX2 really does it justice. Sony back then were really showing off what the PS2 could do in 2005-06 with games like Ape Escape 3, Gran Turismo 4, and God of War.

One downside though is that it does make the LOD in the game extremely noticeable. It's pretty much impossible to notice on actual hardware but here it's clear as day. I almost thought the game didn't use LODing to a large extent which just goes to show how well implemented it was.

The low poly model they use is pretty cute even if the poly count for it is jarring compared to everything else in the game.

Hopefully one day PCSX2 will actually get mip mapping support.
(Or more likely wait for Play! to play more games)

Whew! Almost forgot this!

so i decided to play Daggerfall today. Turns out that temples and inns have rooms with pixelated nude women. Also you can take off your shirt and see your pixelated tits. Had fun trying to explain to my sister what i was playing.
