dunno if this has been posted yet but you can control what type eevee evolves into based on its nicknamed (maybe case sensitive idk)
jolteon = Sparky
vaporeon = Rainer
flareon = Pyro

I saw this somewhere else but somehow didn't think of sharing this.
But I did just do it now and it seems it worked.
