So it started Tuesday when I woke up around 7:00am to drive my friend to a guys house for a little errand and I had a nagging sore throat. Blowing it off as allergies (I have a lot of allergies), I ignored it. Went to work telling everyone I may have a little cold or just some allergies. That night, I was just shivering uncontrollably in my bed under two blankets and wearing sweats and a hoodie, even though it was hot outside.
Wednesday I went to work and as the day wore on, I realized that my voice was slowly disappearing and I was starting to freak out the customers, so I got sent home early. By the time I left, my face was covered in sweat. My voice was almost completely gone so I used what was left to order Arby's, but quickly discovered that I didn't have much of an appetite. Driving home, my body kept trying to doze so I kept pushing. As soon as I pulled into my driveway, I fell asleep and woke up 45 minutes later with my car still running with the lights on. I lounged around in bed for a few hours and got a nasty cough. I also remembered I still had curly fries from 5 hours before and ate them (I guess I wasn't thinking straight). Around 10pm, I tried to get out of bed to take a shower and realized that walking was extremely difficult. My ears were acting up and I had little sense of balance, but I held onto walls and made it. The trek to and from the bathroom drained so much energy that I fell asleep within minutes of returning to my room.
Around 2am, my curly fries let me know that eating them was a bad idea, so I let them back out the way they went in before scrubbing the toilet with bleach and spraying everything I touched. Instantly feeling 100x better and losing the grogginess, I went back to bed happy. I still had no voice whatsoever and my mom made sure to let me know how bad of a person I am for getting sick and potentially exposing my whole family. Later that day, one of my ears became 100% blocked to the point where it sounded like I was submerged underwater. My nose and sinuses started acting up and then I came down with a 102 degree fever all while coughing the life out of myself.
tldr: This morning I went to urgent care and they believe I came down with some sort of virus that caused me to now have bronchitis. So there's that.
