Should I buy Persona Q?
Ehh, the gameplay is overtly Etrian Odyssey-esque with 3 characters in front and 2 in the back (so it depends if you like Etrian Odyssey or not), the two new characters aren't all too interesting, and to the old characters, they become way more one note (i.e. Chie is just a meathead, Akihiko is just a protein freak). I dunno, I never played far enough in either side to really make a great judgment but still, it doesn't feel too Persona-y - of course its a spinoff but I would have preferred Persona-like gameplay.

Should I buy Persona Q?
forget no, get etrian odyssey 3 through 5 or any of the remakes.

Person-Q is just a bad dungeon crawler with no real excitement.

Eugh
Thanks for the warning. I'll reconsider.

Heartbreak, Heartbreak keeps on pounding
Heartbreak, Heartbreak
You tell me goodbye

It isn't really my place to say it but megathreads themselves tend to exist for two things: 1) the game or series in question has online multiplayer or 2) new news/coverage on the game is constantly being released. You don't really have to bump it so often - you can leave it alone for a month or so fine without touching it (if the topic is considered too old to post in, the last person to post can edit their post in order to revive it and you can PM them given they are nice enough) - and when you do bump it, it should be in lieu of new news or something as, besides SMT Imagine, the Persona series general has no multiplayer. You're not going to exactly spark new discussion by bumping it in a span of 4-5 days.

I wonder if the P5 is going to use some type of overworld battle system since you could obviously kill enemies with out fighting them.

wasnt that just the preemptive strike animation though?

idk, the game seems to have this theme for masks and identity so unmasking might be a OHKO.

It would give guns some purpose other than dealing different damage types.

I'm going to change to the thread to a SMT Thread.
Edit: Done.

Poor MegaTen: Imagine ;--; rip super unique mmo

Regarding Persona news I would highly recommend getting your information from http://personacentral.com/ , they keep up to date with upcoming Atlus streams among other things.

Recently there was a stream called the "Take the Treasure" live stream; here's a skinny on what was shown - the full intro is out, featuring previously shown animation along with new animation to showcase the new characters: https://youtu.be/lswcZg7BH2M , a Manga series is announced for September 15, 2016 and Persona 5: The Animation airs September 3, 2016. The new characters were shown a bit more in-depth along with a sidequest during a gameplay showing, and interviews with some staff were shown. There is a concert announced most likely featuring music from the Persona series (this is the second one, I believe you can watch clips from the first one if you own P4G) and there is a festival as well. Commercials will start airing in Japan and perhaps other regions will start getting commercials eventually, and there is a Tokyo Game Show event announced for September 15, 2016. Lastly, if you like Futuba Sakura, the orange haired girl, a headphone company intends on creating a model based off of the ones she wears. If you would like to know more about what was announced you can probably still rewatch the stream, or simply read the articles on the aforementioned website.
