which is why it is necessary for the coup to be successfull. If Erdogan regains power, he'll probably crack down even harder on military, making it impossible for them to stage another coup. Or maybe the coup was staged by him, so that he has a good reason to cut military budget and ensure that an actual coup won't happen.

All I've seen on that matter is that Turkey, logically so, temporarily halted military air vehicles in their airspace and thus the US offensive in Syria was also halted.
