I'm actually pretty sure your right. Both diets are fine as long as they are balanced, however most fat is from meat and you'll become noticeably skinnier on a standard vegan diet. That's where my health claims came from.
Of course, a vegan diet could also be potato chips and french fries. It's not all peas and carrots.
