Usually meat intake makes up a huge percentage of someone's calory intake
You realize people eat food in meals right? Like, prepared meals with various things? What is responsible for the largest calorie intake is stuff like pizza, grain-based desserts and even alcoholic beverages. And along with that compared to sugar intake which is the real leading cause for the obesity in the US, meat alone isn't really that big of a deal.
The point is having a
balanced diet. You can switch to a diet to make you lose weight quickly but it's not only unhealthy, it's not a sustainable diet. You need to find a diet that isn't too fatty or sugary while still being nutritional enough to keep you at healthy weights. Just a reminder that being underweight is still pretty unhealthy
