Its not that compatibility is an issue. There's just idiots with custom built PCs thinking the upgrade will be flawless with 3+ year old parts in their computers.

i think its required for dx12 isnt it?
not that many games are even using it right now. but that will mean if you are using modern hardware, it may be vital for best use of drivers.

If you upgrade to Win10, but you still have your Win7 license key, can you revert back? I want to use DX12 but Win7 is still my preferred OS.

I really hope we abandon DirectX entirely and start using Vulkan or whatever. The only reason to use Windows is because most games are only compatible with it.

You can revert back for 30 days, unless it breaks mid-way through the update, in which case it's borked and you'll have to reinstall Windows 7, probably from a disc. So I'd recommend backing up your PC on the D drive before you go
