Author Topic: What games can I get that have hundreds of hours of gameplay?  (Read 2517 times)

I want to get a game that can last me ages, as on lego games, people tend to get 20 or so hours of gameplay, but I want something like Terraria, CSGO, Blockland, Starbound where people tend to have 200+ hours.

well it depends, what kind of games do you like?

ive gotten over 100 hours from planetside 2 and its free
might not be very easy to get into though since for the first 10 to 20 levels you need to pick a role and stick to it

I have over 400 hours on TF2 and its free

The Fallout and Elder Scrolls games are great. The mods add even more replay value.

gmod, civ 5, rust, garfield kart, subnautica (I highly recommend this if you have VR), arma 3, payday 2, roller coaster tycoon 2 (I have played so many hours in this game, it's not even funny), gta 5, red dead redemption, skyrim, new vegas, battlefield 4.

Whatever you do, do NOT get into LoL, it is not worth it one bit.

I've got over 10000 hours on Runescape over the past decade and still haven't beaten it, or even close.

league of legends is okay if you just want a game you can pick up and play occasionally but its best not to get too invested into competitive or whatever. I couldn't give less forgets about my rank and how poorly i do ingame and as a result i never find a game truly boring or feel rage when i lose or my team sucks or whatever.

you could try battle for wesnoth (fire emblem style tactical game); its not a 200 hour game probably but it has a lot of content and will keep you engaged for a long time, and the community there + multiplayer is pretty nice. throw in a bit of mods and you can keep on playing new campaigns or trying out new races/gameplay elements.

Day of Defeat 1.3 (Source is ok but it has a lack of content and gets boring sometimes)
Super meat boy
Battle block theater
Castle crashers
Garry's mod
TF2
Dota 2
Terraria
Any counter strike game that isn't condition zero

warframe, it's a huge grind which is actually fun

You will only get huge amounts of hours out of something if you are enjoying it.

I have 244 hours in risk of rain, you can complete it in like 2 hours tops, however I loved playing it and continued to host, and play online with tons of other people

PAYDAY 2, given that you liked the original enough to buy wolf pack
