Author Topic: Hillary cannot mentally run this nation  (Read 12504 times)

But, and I say this as an agnostic, the Founding Fathers knew when writing the Bill of Rights that religious freedom was an incredibly important right. The First Amendment protects not only your right to freedom of speech and the press (something I bet is important to a lot of the posters here), but your right to practice whatever religion you want in the United States. And when I hear Annoying Orange supporters talk about banning Muslims until "we figure out what is going on," it's practically taking that historical document and ripping it in half.

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied; chains us all irrevocably."

I like how I don't even need to read who the OP is on these kind of threads. I can always just assume it's Tony and be right like 99% of the time.

I would assume the meaning of this very quote is clear to all, but McJob proved me wrong:

Here's some dialogue I said about the quote in general.
You shouldn't support the legal rights of brown town research producers because you think that one day you might star in brown town research, you should do so because the ability to censor content at the government's whim is a dangerous precedent that can almost exclusively lead to oppression in some form.

No matter how minor the censorship is, the method by which it came about can be used to censor more, and while that precedent is in place, you do not live in a free society.

Having Annoying Orange would be a much safer candidate for the USA rather than Hillary, even though he isn't the best candidate ever, he's the best we can choose that won't forget things up.
I'm sorry, what?

I would assume the meaning of this very quote is clear to all, but McJob proved me wrong:
Listen very carefully, McThickShake. I know you enjoy the little jolt of energy you get at the tip of your snake every time you feel as though you've climbed Mount Everest and found some shiny little bullet you can use against one of the "bullies after you", but you can't seriously be as thick as a loving steel girder and still miss my point.

It is extremely pretentious behaviour to, in the middle of a debate, just post a quote without explaining your raw argument as well. No quote is all encapsulating. Strong, solid arguments are made up of a number of valid points which work together and are contextualised. Simply dumping off somebody else's own writing makes you seem full of it as you look to be incapable of describing your own stance.

Quotes are supplementary, supporting material, not the main meat of the argument. I know that you're scared of meat, but maybe for once you could pull that square head out of your arse, shove a sock in your mouth and learn when it's appropriate to call me out and learn when you're loving wrong, like most of the time.

"If you present a famous quote as your only argument, you are 100% pretentious and need a good punch to the throat." ~ McJob 2016

mcjob mcversus mczealot

I honestly think this weird tomato dude has a crush on me. He quite literally stalks my posts to post this weird art about me like it's gonna piss me off or something. Like one day he'll make the perfect comic and I'll just lose it.

"bullies after you",
You put that in quotes, but I've never said that. Perhaps it's because you don't know how those work?

No, quotes are not supplementary supporting material. If a quote directly addresses what someone said, why bother to rewrite it? You are pulling a new definition out of your ass.

I think you're acting under the misconception that there is some hate group targeting all your posts zealot lol. Even tho most of what you post in nonsense. Not the good type of nonsense either

Please quote me saying that.

Please quote me saying that.
quote you saying what? I never said you said anything lol, however now I'm questioning your reading comprehension

Please quote me saying that.
he said he thinks that you think you have a hate group targeting you because you sometimes act like it, not because you explicitly stated it.

Closing the borders will sure help against those United States born terrorists!!!
