from a narrative standpoint it seems like something that shouldn't really make a difference. in most cases the appearance of a character would be kinda nominal in comparison to what they're actually meant to contribute to make a compelling story. assuming, of course, the actor they choose isn't terrible
that's just theory i guess though, idk much about spiderman specifically, in some cases obviously certain marks or features do serve a valid storytelling purpose. does mary jane having red hair mean a lot in the story or is it just how she's always been portrayed?
