Byartalena:  Spending on military campaigns relative to their possible reward has become outsize.  This added to the differing economic philosophies of the increasingly large number of incorporated tribes and peoples has created a strain on the economy.  This strain, paired with the economic slowdown the rest of the world seems to be facing for some reason, cause the local economy to plummet into almost no growth.  [ECN : -5]
Gœðalaussland:  A number of intellectuals have come together to create a body of work detailing farming and other agricultural practices in the region.  They are likely to continue to communicate.  [DEV : +3]
Al'ard Almuqaddasa:  The general economic slowdown affecting the world hits Al'ard as well.  Growth slows, and many begin to hoard what resources they have, rather than spending.  [ECN : -3]
Neslait:  A favorable growing season has caused a major population boom.  [POP : +5]
Avalonia:  The influx of intellectual capital within Avalonia has increased significantly from the recent inclusion of so many clans.  [DEV : +4]
Kyrvan:  A number of nobles formerly supporting the Grand Prince seem unwilling to back any side in the more recent civil conflict.  [POL : -1]
Confederal Grand League:  The tribes and peoples near the settlement have put aside recent feuds to form a large confederacy to resist encroachment by the League.  Showing surprising levels of cooperation, they are amassing armies to reclaim the land.  [NPC : -5]
Arlien:  The western exploration group comes across the outskirts of a nautically advanced civilization which is extremely friendly and sends word, by boat, back to Arlien along with several members of the expedition.  They seem to desire trade and diplomacy.  [NPC : +5]
Gorhkislava:  Local politics have entered a golden age, and a very popular, just, and intelligent, and honorable leader replaces his far less worthy predecessor.  Public support and morale are at an all time high.  [POL : +4]
Vlast:  Plague sweeps through Vlast.  Thousands are killed, and many more are sickened greatly by it.  It passes, for the most part, but its effects seem to be lingering.  [POP : -4]
Esperanto:  The general economic slowdown reaches Esperanto.  Growth is nil, and excessive thrift, hoarding, and theft are extremely common.  [ECN : -4]
