Bought by unsuspecting people or people who are hoping that they'll release a stuffton of missing content later on, or people that want to spend their money willy-nilly.

Look, Tony, you don't feel the same way as everyone else who bought the game for $60 because you got the game free, and they didn't. You didn't have to spend a single penny on the game, because you got it for free. Unfortunately for the others, they had to spend $60 for a game that barely has any content (unless you get your content from the modding community) so they lost something until they get a refund, or they get their money's worth with content updates. Tell me, how would you feel if you spent $60 on a game that only has the main menu and that's it? Or, imagine you spent $60 on No Man's Sky instead of getting it for free. Would you feel the same way as you are now, or feel the same way the people that spent $60 on it and were disappointed/angered by the fact the developers lied and there is barely much content to keep you occupied for a while? And how would you feel if there wasn't any modding community to give you mods to keep you satisfied?

Now, about the Early Access thing.
You see, if the game was labelled as EARLY ACCESS, people would understand better about the lack of content. Instead, the developers RELEASED IT AS A "FULL GAME" with BARELY any content to keep you satisfied for, say 500-1000 hours. People who see games labelled as EARLY ACCESS know that the game doesn't have much content in it, and they buy Early Access if they like how the game is going, so the developers can keep updating the game and send more content updates. However, since they released it as a "full game" to retail stores and over Steam with barely much content, people are obviously going to hate it.

Also, I'm curious, how did you get No Man's Sky for free?
Edit: Unless you didn't, in which case, I have no idea why you support this game anyways. I have no idea if you own it or not, I need to check.

You literally just described every single modern game out there, not just NMS.

But 'every single modern game' has a lot more content than No Man's Sky has at the moment.
Also, did you even read everything else past that sentence?

Are you confusing story as content?

Because I've seen story driven games with very little gameplay.

Just because you played one bad game doean't mean every other game on the planet is the exact same way

Pretty much every modern story driven game is pretty much the same now a days.

Games don't have as much content as they use to in the 90s.

Size of Mario 64: 8 MB

Size of Far Cry 3: 11143 MB

You are measurably wrong.

Super Mario 64 has more content than Far Cry 3.

Once you beat Far Cry 3 there is nothing to do in the game.

Funny how you measure content by megabytes. LOL

So with your logic Legend of Zelda for SNES has no content. LOL

i mean literal game data they have more of now

A huge polygon rock does not equal detail nor content, people.

In the end it's no different from a 5 polygon rock in super mario 64. There is plenty of other stuff that makes super mario 64 a better game with more content such as level design.

i played no man's sky and I gotta say this game sucks my richard

tony what platform do you have no man's sky on

>a mesh with more polygons is not more detailed than a mesh with less.

This is some weapons grade autism right here.
