Author Topic: Honestly, forget rap music.  (Read 12095 times)

And here we see the wild internet forum, where no opinion is right. Unless it's your own of course.
well which opinion do you share, mr fence?

like fr go jerk off to Beethoven you corny pretentious ass musical composition student

*says while twirling pen in hands and tipping fedora*

also what music does OP listen to lol 10 bucks he says led zeppelin or some other classic dadrock band

well yes led zeppelin is on my iTunes and I listen to them but mostly it's

  • Genesis + Peter Gabriel
  • Beatles + Beach Boys (later years)
  • Gorillaz + Muse
  • DMB + Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds live
  • David Bowie
  • Eric Clapton
  • Ian Ethan Case (indie guy)
  • James Taylor + Carole King
  • Pat Metheny and anyone he's worked with (jazz)
  • Richard Thompson
  • Tommy Emmanuel
  • etc.

I think I proved my point I'm gonna stop there

oh and there's some video game soundtracks on there too

and to add most of the people on that list I started to listen to on my own, regardless of whether my dad liked them or not

I can see where the OP is coming from but I like some rap

did you try moms spaghetti though

well which opinion do you share, mr fence?
Tbh I like rap, I think OP is just listening to the wrong type of it. Most popular music of any genre is pretty stuff today imo. Rap definitely isn't as diverse as other genres but there is good rap out there. I would link some but it's almost 1 AM and I'm tired af.

So hopefully someone backs me up on this.

99% of rap music sucks but there is that 1% gem, like fresh prince theme, nutshack theme, weird al white and nerdy, etc.
