>Young developer(s) think that since blockland is simple, making blockland is simple
>They fall for the "Tell, don't show" meme
>The horrible realization that making a game is a lot more work than they were ready to take on hits
>Head dev collapses under criticism and repeatedly punches himself in the face
>Project probably closed

Meh.

Wasn't closed we switched engines and are working re-working things.

lol again I don't think you understand how this works. but okay.

Wasn't closed we switched engines and are working re-working things.

Do you even have a plan how this whole thing will work? Blockland cannot be replaced by a game with worse modding support, and even unreal does not live up to tork here. You'll need to make massive modifications just to have a scripting language, unless you want modding to work with dlls or blueprint, which both suck.

as I've said way too many times now
It's not blockland, it never will be, I don't really care about remaking the game, we're doing our own thing, as i've stated before.
The assumption of this has gone way too far

Meh.

I don't trust a game developer who uses the torque game demo with script modification to use another engine without actually showing any tangible knowledge of c++
lmao

Then what is it? You can't just say you're working on "not blockland 2".

Actually this is an incorrect statement, we've switched to Unreal. also we weren't using the torque demo, we had built the alpha test thing from scratch. it wasn't a failure, it worked just fine, it's just that torque is so limited that even if we did what we wanted to do, torque would be really limited to that. There was a lot of C++ involved, we had even edited some of the engine. But torque is so bad at handling that it didn't work out.

Then what is it? You can't just say you're working on "not blockland".
A game that doesn't have a name yet.
