Both the government and the corrupt governor are wrong. The act was a mistake, but taking bribes was also a mistake. I think a poem or something said "Two wrongs don't make a right," and even though this doesn't run in the family, that phrase describes what I think of his actions!
Question for you, didn't you support the governor earlier? What has made you retract this statement?

3rd question for all of you, should we repeal the RDA or change it?
I will take Erick's and Alex's responses from earlier as a response to this automatically if they do not change their views.

Like I said, change that stuff.

After thoroughly reading through the documents, I recognized my mistake. Even though the government did something wrong, his actions were fuel to the flame.

The RDA is fifty-fifty with me. It offers more jobs for our citizens... but interfering with other's privacy is crossing the line. I recommend we change it.

That concludes our Independence Party debate, our The People's Front debate will begin soon, and then Niels will decide who they want nominated for the 2 big parties. Thank you all for attending, results of both will be posted once The People's Front debate is finished.

STANCES

Corruption Leak
This was a complete shock to me. While I'm no stranger to the evident corruption going on, Niels was a place that I had personally hoped there was little. It seems my fears about corruption here have not been in vain. There are few things that I hate more than government corruption, and the Governor of Niels can expect my appearance at his impeachment hearings. He needs to be kicked out of office ASAP, people like him don't deserve to be governor! Part of my plan right from the get-go is to pass a new bill, one that will impose very, very hash penalties on government employees who take bribes. Think about it, this scumbag is going to get off without a slap on the wrist and that is absolutely unacceptable. While I don't give my support to the bill as I believe it to be a step in the wrong direction, using it as an excuse for corruption is disgusting and the fact that we have a candidate ENCOURAGING this corruption is appalling.

Earthquake
When I heard the news that an earthquake hit, my heart sunk. Many of my most closely cherished friends are in Remington, and I understand the heartbreaking pain many of you are going through. Then, we have the case of Erick. Oh boy, what a crapshow. If you even heard a few words of his speech you know exactly how I feel about this. The fact that this person is even running for office is just a joke. No, worse than that, this is no joking matter. This is serious business here, and we have a manchild running around wishing death upon people! These people are our friends, our family and loved ones! For the love of god, please don't elect him. In response to this, I'm dedicating a chunk of funds to our environmental agency, to expand and give it the resources to detect earthquakes well in advance, and expand our emergy response services to help evacuate millions more people to safety.

Racial Discrimination Act
This is a heated topic for many, and I fully understand why. Protection against racial discrimination is something that this country has needed for a long, long time, which I believe is a step in the right direction. But, the way in which this bill was implemented makes it two steps back. Invading the privacy of innocent businesses and law-abiding citizens is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances, and dear god if quotas aren't the worst idea ever. Companies need to have their total freedom to hire who they like, but we as a country cannot tolerate racism! That's why I'm proposing a new bill, based fully on the justice system to make sure that racism in employing is reduced, if not entirely eliminated.

First question directed at all of you, what do you think of the recent Earthquake, and what can we do to fix the problems quickly arising due to it?
As I said in my speech, this affects me at a personal level. I know friends who I may have lost in this earthquake. I have assured that my family are okay, and I cannot tell you how scared I was when I felt it myself. I've encountered real losses, but it's not just me I will be looking out for, it's my fellow Tumultians.

Prevention of mother nature isn't possible, but immediate aid is. We should be putting funding into emergency services. Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and all the others, they need better equipment to deal with the catastrophic effects, and then, we rebuild. Like I said, I will be there in the rescue and recovery efforts myself.

Second question to all of you, what are your feelings on the corrupt governor who took bribes? Is he or the government in the wrong, or both?
I will stand by my recent word; Legally, they were in the wrong, but the businesses should not have had to go to the governor for under-the-covers help in the first place. Like I said, I know the governor, he's a good guy, and I can see that even he knew something was wrong with this act, and took his path to help his state in need, at a great risk.

3rd question for all of you, should we repeal the RDA or change it?
As I have said, this Act will not keep our United Republic stable. The globalist puppeteers are getting it put in place in an attempt to make us think we are divided, but we've seen through their lies! This Act puts unneeded restrictions on businesses. As I have said in my past speech, this is actually creating even more of a racial barrier in the background that we haven't seen yet. The majority, just before being born into a majority, now has even lesser of a chance to be hired, while the minority gets a higher chance just because they're a minority. Trust me, people, when I say this, they're going to begin trying to stop me with all their power. And it doesn't stop there. If a business doesn't want to abide by this act, then they get spied on, 24/7, and potentially harassed by the government.

It needs to be repealed, and it needs to be repealed as soon as possible.

We are skipping lbp due to inactivity, a streak of inactivity is an automatic resign.
THE PEOPLE'S FRONT DEBATE
Rules:

2. Don't respond to questions directed at 1 person.
Tonight we have:

(If you do not respond quickly, you will be skipped)

what do you think of the recent Earthquake, and what can we do to fix the problems quickly arising due to it?
What we need is better detection. The technology to stop earthquakes sadly does not exist, believe me if it existed we'd be on that in a heartbeat. What we can do however is get the latest in earthquake detection technology to our environmental agency, which will give us time to safely evacuate millions of people to safety, and with my proposed budget changes, we will have much better emergency response, meaning people who did not manage to evacuate will get immediate help, and any damage can be repaired an estimated twenty times as quickly as it had been before.

Its tragic, my prayers and condolences go out to those who were effected by this. I plan on loaning money to help rebuild homes and with Relief aid, I plan on also going to Remington soon and help out in any way that I can. Like I've said previously said, we need to be one country in this time of need. We can't be divided when our Family and friends are in need.

Second question to all of you, what are your feelings on the corrupt governor who took bribes? Is he or the government in the wrong, or both?

also forgot to mention this changed clercben to niels going first

The governor was absolutely in the wrong. Blatant corruption like this is never, ever acceptable. As I've said, I don't support the law as it reduced businesses privacy to ashes and utterly failed to do what it set out to do in the first place, along with eating up precious government resources that would be better off somewhere else. The governor, along with all of the other corrupt politicians who are bogging down this wonderful country need to be impeached, and as I've said, he can expect me at his impeachment hearings. Corruption is a big part of what's ruining this country, and I'm setting out to stop it.

The Corruption that we have seen is disgraceful. I feel everyone needs the right opportunities as all. Both parties are in the wrong here. He, the governor should of better handled the situation. He should of reported the companies that bribed him. The government is also in the wrong here due to the lack of knowing that this will happen. From having that they will monitor people and companies, they obviously have something wrong with detecting when these things will happen. They lacked in detecting it.

3rd question for all of you, should we repeal the RDA or change it?

We should absolutely be repealing this law. Its initial intentions seemed to be in the right place; We can help get rid of racism in employment and make the country a better place for everyone! But unfortunately, the way it's been put into place has been a disaster. The level of privacy invasion going on is insane, and most of the time these businesses that have to suffer under the spying aren't even doing anything wrong! Not only that but it's put a financial burden on us, and utterly failed to actually decrease racism in employment because of corruption in office. That's why I'm going to be immediately repealing that disaster of a law and creating a better one, one that allows employer racism to be caught through proper due process, NOT immoral spying. And this isn't just against minorities either, racism exists in all parts and this law will protect everyone equally.
