i like perk overhaul mods that let me have like double perks every level.
but then you have to counter the cheat by upping the difficulty, having unlocked levels, added perk types. stronger enemies or whatever as well.

its more so i can have combat + non combat at the same time during entire game.
hey if said double perk mod makes it's way to SSE please let me know, stuff sounds incredibly useful

I completely forgot about Perkus Maximus, it's a fantastic perk overhaul mod, it addresses the issue where the majority of the perks are just "do this thing 10% better" and improves combat with timed blocking and other effects

The perk descriptions are cryptic as hell and it makes gold have weight without a perk though, but there are third-party add-ons that change that

Also Immersive Armor/Weapons helps break up the monotony and More Interesting Loot makes dungeons actually worthwhile

Also Immersive Armor/Weapons helps break up the monotony
I'd recommend Common Clothes and Brigandage way more than Immersive Armor. They fit in much better than Immersive Armor if you ask me. Warmonger Armory is another good one, but a lot of the armors look pretty cluttered IMO.

In the place of Immersive Weapons, I'd say some good mods would be Unique Uniques and Lore Weapon Expansion. I'd also recommend LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons for more realistic (and imo, much better looking) versions of the vanilla weapons.

Please, please, please use Mod Organizer instead of Nexus Mod Manager. Mod Organizer is much more stable, doesn't touch your Skyrim directory, and is overall much nicer to use. See this /r/skyrimmods thread for more details.

i use stuffloads of npc mods so revisiting places isnt so repetitive.

I hope they end up giving skyrim SE vive support now that it's on (pretty much) the same engine as fo4. I've got lots of tax money to blow and am going to get a vive whenever they release the wireless one.

it makes gold have weight without a perk though
I would actually be interested in that. I used to bank away most of my gold in a safe in my home, and only carry a few thousand gold, because when roleplaying it doesn't make sense for my character to lug 250,000 gold coins across the country. It was just a bit annoying that there was no incentive to do that. Since gold weighs nothing and you can't lose it in fights or anything, why bother.

What would be even better in a mod though would be something that gave me a reason to spend money. That way I'm not likely to end up with 250k in my pocket at all.

I'd wager that survival mods that require you to buy food, water and bedding would be apt enough to chip away at your funds, but with the lack of SKSE I would doubt we will see any supported for the special edition for awhile.

A survival mod would be good. Renting a bed could probably be more expensive though, as 10 gold is nothing.

I can't really think of much more to spend money on though. Food/water is fine, but unlike in Fallout, it's not difficult to come across.
I don't really know what more I could regularly spend money on. Weapons/Armour shops quickly start to offer stuff items in comparison to what you make or find.

IIRC there were some equipment degradation mods that meant you had to keep up with routine upkeep for your equipment or it breaks. Dunno if they're any good, however.

From my experience, the best equipment degradation mod is Loot and Degradation. Might be the only one. forget if I know it's the only one I've ever used and it works perfectly.

On the subject of survival mods, I recommend iNeed infinitely more than I do Realistic Needs and Diseases. iNeed is way more stable, compatible, and way less annoying gameplay-wise.

Another couple mods I'd recommend are Scarcity and You Hunger. They serve as real nice accents to survival mods, seeing as food is often stupidly easy to find in vanilla Skyrim.

im suddenly hooked to this game :o

I took a couple hours to switch over from NMM (only to find that there's a migration tool in MO after I was done) and it does seem a lot nicer, I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned before

Swapped the mods around too and I'm liking how things look so far, my only lament is that because they're not as popular as the Immersive series, there isn't much compatibility for the mods I use to make Argonians less like lizard-headed humans

This all had the nice plus of making my game more stable when I reinstalled everything, too

still no special edition body/mesh mods?
vanilla characters look like stuff.

Mod organizer is a buggy mess for Skyrim Special Edition. It does not properly support SSE, and it will never support SSE. Do not use it for SSE. There are better alternatives out, as well as alternatives in development (look at the skyrimmods subreddit SSE FAQ for details on modding tools).
Mod Organizer is the best for vanilla skyrim though.

i just bought skyrim and haven't played since 2012 on a xbox 360. got like 70 mods installed and lots of ini tweaks atm and it runs great

any suggestions for weather/sky mods? right now i have morning fogs, true storms, some night sky replacer, a lightning mod and a cloud replacer, but no "real" weather overhaul mod

i'd get the names of the mods but i'm at work rn

also i'm using a few mods that change tree textures, with "HD trees" or something as the main file, and some trees have a burnt/black looking texture error that looks something to the effect of >this< but only at the base of one tree type. kind of looks like there's a second textured stump mesh overlapping the full tree. anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? i got a few ideas but i figured i might as well ask
