Lol what the heck. If my phone automatically connects to an unsecured connection it routes it through Google's VPN that they provide for Nexus devices. Does that mean I won't be able to use that feature anymore?

it only gives judges a reason to issue a search warrant I believe so unless they have a reason to be checking you, you've nothing to worry about.

not that I think this is okay because it's pretty forgetin stupid.

Yeah I think it's the law now since the proposed changes are supposed to go in effect today.
