We've worked our hardest to create an immersive and interesting new years build this year. Unlike all years past, this year we are not adhering to the convention center, stage oriented formula; we have a very much different prepared for you all on the 31st. Once again, the server will be kept interesting via special events periodically occurring over the server's up time. Don't worry, however, as this year's bosses and events have been designed for fairness, so that players can fight back against them. Additionally, other events will occur that will actually put players up against one another.
We have fixed the latency issues from last year, and hopefully we won`t have to handle crashing this year, as we managed to only have controlled server shutdowns in the event that something went wrong last year. Timezones will be posted in the 2nd post after the OP, but will only be posted a few days prior once we manage to work out where exactly the majority of players that will be joining us are located.
We have a wide variety of loops this year, currently clocking in at around 140. While most of the loops are new and were created specifically for the server, we have also chosen to select a few crowd favorites from last year and have put them in as well. If you have a loop idea, don't be afraid to request one! The more, the merrier! The loops will be posted a few days prior to the event, and just like last year, a preloading server will be available for all to join and prepare for the event.
Additionally, more custom addons have been devised for the server, including exclusive addons from Jumbabwe, Trogtor, and Zanlue. Hatmod is also in place, with more hats than ever. |  |
Our admins have been thoroughly instructed to make sure that gameplay is fun and fair for everyone. RDMing from the admins won't be tolerated this year. Admins are only instructed to kill if players are:
- Killing other players en-masse
- Trying to escape the map
- Trying to get onto the stage
- Blocking doorways (even though we'll probably have clickpush enabled)
