C'mon. Add VR support, Badspot! Please! I'm sure showing up in the VR list would get a lot more sales for the game.

(I probably should've searched to see if this was asked before.)

you cant just "add" vr support. good vr games are designed around the VR technology - simply slapping on vr to an existing game generally creates an awkward-at-best, nauseating-at-worst game.

do a search for vr/oculus/vive in s&r - the last topic on this talked about some glaring issues about adding vr support

You also can't just "add" vr support to a decade old engine.

More like embrace the headaches, and nausea :cookieMonster:

It'd be an interesting idea, VR Blockland.

Albeit, I don't see it working all too well.

Blockland has a very special 'Don't make me VR' feel to it, as evidenced by the building system and all the keybinds.

You'd have to make a completely separate version of Blockland just for VR, and it'd likely be for the highly popular and very well made HTC Vive.
Just because VR can be added to Minecraft (NODE showed that off pretty well, from basics to killing the Ender Dragon, yada yada) doesn't mean it is good to do to all games.

Certain games do benefit from VR (HL2 VR, lean those corners Gordon, LEAAAAAN!)

But perhaps sometime in the future, when VR allows full-body movement (either SAO style or modern realistic treadmil + socks) we'll see a VR Blockland.

???????
They probably took a super long time to add that. Pretty sure half life's engine is much more open than Blockland's engine (or maybe not).

Blockland's engine is garbage why would anyone want to spend so much time making support for VR, it's not worth it.

i think i remember zealot saying he did this once but it was an overall pitiful experience

[ Info ] BadSpot Don't care about blockland anymore.

is torque incapable of having two cameras?
it's not that hard, really, as long as Torque can deal with two cameras. With the Rift, games had to use keyboard/mouse for controls and the VR was simply a viewpoint, it could be done that way with the vive and rift
AFAIK all you have to do is make the camera move with the headset and have stereoscopic vision, both of which seem pretty easy to do (unless torque has a restriction on cameras).
