loving BITCH THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR CROSSIN ME

As the alien queen falls at the hands of the players; something tremendous occurs.
All of the hive's denizens suddenly go catatonic. They become immobile for at least a solid minute, before snapping back to reality, much less hostile then before. Most of them simply bail and run out of the hive into the wilderness.

You have won! The hive is vanquished and round 1 is completed!
Something interesting happens with the queens corpse however

A black parasite burrows out of the queen's skull, looking rather small and insignificant; no doubt the source of her sheer aggression. The parasite begins to crawl towards the players at very high speed out of urgency, making small hissing noises.

The large fleshy sack, which sealed itself up in a shell of armor; begins to pulse and gurgle. After a few moments; it splits open and regurgitates a large armored egg; about the size of a motorcycle. Brief examination reveals an embryo inside which bears some resemblance to the queen that was just killed. It is safe to assume that this egg contains a brand new alien queen. If the parasite is left out of the picture, it's likely to be much less aggressive then before.

Some movement occurs in the fallen queen's skull again. It almost seems like another parasite will emerge; but instead it is an oddly shaped bone. Which bursts from her cranium and lands a few feet from her body. The bone has noticeable indentures which resemble that of a flute. It even includes an open end through which air can be blown through, whatever this flute is for though remains to be seen. It is definately worth further inquiry however.

AFTER-ROUND INTERMISSION
The second round is being planned out and will be executed at the end of the intermission. Use this opportunity to relax and coordinate with your fellow players.

take the flute thing back to that fob/base/outpost thing and do research on what it does
after the intermission, of course
