What are the better alternatives?

Partly because the world doesn't revolve around your childish outrages, and that not only single person was responsible for any of these things.
Childish outrages?

People were hurt and loving killed for these false claims and reportings.

and yet it's amazing how you fail to bother and read the second part of his measly sentence

Childish outrages?

People were hurt and loving killed for these false claims and reportings.

People were also hurt and loving killed by frozen turkeys in deep fryers. Why hasn't anyone been fired over this national thanksgiving tragedy?? This is an outrage!

Yes the claim of "not all X" has been made before, but its more of a way to dismiss the conversation than talk about the issues present, because while you won't meet a whole lot of white people who go around calling black people 'mondays', you are more likely to find homophobic and genuinely loveist muslims.First off, the sentence in bold, is half true, a minority follow it to the 'burned and stoned' extent, but death is an agreed form of punishment for leaving islam is prominently islamic countries, and under sharia law its the law.As I said, there are people hard at work who want to reform the system and make it so that theocracy is abolished and progressive laws are put into place that stop those awful punishments from happening. The same rebels that Russia and Syria are bombing are a prime example, as they are trying to oppose a dictatorship that is guided by theocracy.

And again, comparing christianity to islam is like comparing apples to oranges. If there are entire countries devoted to this religion and its beliefs, and yet the people are content with it, I see no reason to believe that it is a 'minority following' especially when islam is the largest religion on the planet. And on the flip side of the coin, in countries that are almost entirely christian, you will find nothing of the same when it comes to the law and government of the country. Geographically speaking, the middle east is not the most habitable place on earth. The more hospitable an environment is, the more progressive it ends up being in a shorter period of time. Middle eastern countries are slow to get with the times and modernize as well as fix womens rights and things, but you'll be surprised to know that a few of them are currently working towards solutions to these things. Great example, in the United Arab Emirates. Although women don't have a lot of rights and can still be stoned, they're pretty progressive for an Islam country, even allowing women to drive and serve in their police force. These countries are about 100-200 years behind most christian countries, but are slowly making their way there. Look back 200 years into other christian societies and you find that stuff wasn't so rosy and dandy there either.

Islam has not separated itself from government purposes, and therefore holds more power than any other religion around.
Again, Islam isn't an entity, it is a religion. Islam cannot separate from government because it's a system of beliefs. If you're talking about Sharia law, there are several countries who still use Sharia but are becoming more lenient and progressive towards their laws.

Who are you going to blame? Do you expect CNN to fire itself for posting opinions? These news outlets report on events. If a lot of people are protesting saying "hands up don't shoot" they're going to write that down. It's not CNN or FOX or NBC that 'faked' that chant, it was just a general stigma that flooded through during a time of turmoil. Also calling something fake news is kind of douchy but isn't even worth firing anyone over.

You tend to pin the blame on an entire group or organization for something that they either didn't do or weren't entirely responsible for. This is a very ugly quality that just results in more confusion and finger pointing, and the effects are 10x more 'deadly' than a claim about fake news. The holocaust started off of a finger pointing game and ended up with the systematic killing of millions of jewish people.

I mean, if this is the standard we're going to hold Islam to, then Christianity is not a religion of peace either.

Deuteronomy 17
Or in other words, stone the infidels.

I'd go into the whole politics of if Jesus abolished the Old Testament when he died but people tend to forget that nobody cares about people pulling stuff out of the Bible that 99% of Christians don't care about either

Then why was no one fired for 'Hands up don't shoot'?
Why was no one fired for 'Hillary can't lose/Annoying Orange can't win'?
Why was no one fired for dehumanizing Annoying Orange supporters?
Why was no one fired for releasing the equivalent of a blacklist for news sites that don't fit their agenda that are labeled 'fake news'?

Because the world doesn't care about your personal opinions on what is and isn't punishable by losing your job

Childish outrages?

Yes

I think the overarching point is that religious texts are open for broad interpretation since they're usually a thousand years old and are written in an entirely different dialect

This can be applied to almost every group of people. My cousin was called a monday by some white people before, but that doesn't mean all white people are tribal. As for the family values, there are religions like christianity that also show these signs, but progressive individuals work hard to fight that stigma and change so that it is more acceptable. There are people in islamic countries who do the same, fighting for womens rights, gay rights, etc. It's an issue that we're trying to fight as well, it doesn't mean that everyone who believes in Islam is homophobic.
In this day and age, most progressives take the form of regressives.  The Civil Rights movement fought to bring race, color, love, loveual orientation, etc. out of the political lens, thus making justice blind.  Bringing the scope of politics BACK to those issues that many were hard-fought to dismiss sets us back to a time when those liberties were not yet secured.  The problem is playing the game of identity politics in the first place.  Not only is it a logical fallacy, but it is also bad practice to rely on scapegoats.[

But there are still major unsolved problems surrounding race, love, and loveual orientation. How do you suggest that we solve those problems without bringing them back into the spotlight?

We disproportionately imprison and disenfranchise minorities, we don't offer the same kinds of achievement opportunities for women, and just recently someone went and shot up a gay nightclub, killing 49 people.

Those are not the symptoms of an equitable, post-racial society.

Also this is turning into another 'nobody in america is oppressed' 30 page discussion

We disproportionately imprison

>Commit crime
>Get thrown in jail
>Omg bad

and disenfranchise minorities,

Is it you or Path who keeps saying minorities are having a stuff time because there was racism for the past 400 years

we don't offer the same kinds of achievement opportunities for women,

Sounds like an Islam problem if you ask me

"b-b-but obama was president... and he was black!!! that must mean that black people are free now~!"

I don't think a tribal system would elect a black guy as president

Unless the kool kids klub is a major voting group idk

just recently someone went and shot up a gay nightclub, killing 49 people.
wasn't this an act of islamic terror tho
