Author Topic: "Plank" vehicle  (Read 3100 times)

Basically, what I'm requesting is a vehicle without wheels, or mount points that is to be used as a surface that can be walked upon, but also has physics, preferrably the size of a 4/16 plate

Bump 2? I really want this....

Vehicle physics are way too buggy. What I could see happening is that the plank will fly off into distant space as the result of someone walking on it.

I think the issue with vehicle physcics is brick collisions, not player collisions. It should be fine if the plank is rarely in motion

One issue I had when there wasn't any wheels on my car [on accident],  was the fact that it would slide around everywhere.

I didn't know how to resolve the sliding part without putting in the correct wheel datablocks.

Point being is that I can't see this possible, unless someone besides me knows their Blockland physics.

Perhaps line the sides with invisible wheels?  And if there's a way to stop them from spinning at all, do that as well

wouldn't it make a lot more sense to use bots so you can actually walk on it?

Isn't there a friction variable in the vehicle datablock?

Might as well give it a shot, I'll upload it here when I've done
Right I've done it and you can walk on it and it has physics. BUT the only trouble is, It's too big so I'm going to have to do some scaling

Does it have to be exact 4x16?

No, any size around there is fine. The fact that someone is doing this at all is honestly amazing! Thank you

It's 5x wide and just longer than 16

I've done this because if you have the vehicle scale you can scale it down a bit if you wanted
