Five years ago, a young boy took his first trip down into the basement, facing the endless threats below to escape from the murderous delusions of his loving mother. Three years later, he found himself facing the same predicament but with an even greater plague of horrors and peril. Very shortly afterward, a modest few among us decided that even this was not enough. In the two years since then, fate has worked tirelessly to place by far the most fearsome challenge yet in his path. This time, Isaac will face our free and fan-made The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth expansion, Antibirth. So what exactly is in store for him?

As its zealous modding community has proved, it’s only natural that many among us would feel the urge to try to help carry the torch and make it partly our own, but Antibirth was the first and is presently the only Isaac mod to reach deep into the core of Rebirth to enable the depth and scope of a full expansion, aspiring even to the size of the official DLC, Afterbirth. But anybody on blf play binding of isaac: antibirth? What are your thoughts on it?

Fix floor 1 final boss glitch pls. Actually, just fix everything that's broken like Isaac's Awakening and whatnot.

[spoiler]Also Basilica and Topleth when? I'd love to see the Mock-Mourner and whatever Topleth's boss (probably the representation of Isaac's evil or something) would be in-game.[/spoiler]

I don't know what broswer plugins/userstyles you're using, but it's supposed to look like this:

Kilburn is working on fixing everything. Keep in mind, that we were EXTREMELY rushed to finish the mod. So rushed, that the final boss was not finished until the day of release.

Ye, that boss is pretty good. Pretty hard tho, I love him. And, literally nobody else is capable of modding isaac like this, except for _Kilburn.

They're the Cathedral and Sheol alt floors that NotYourSagittarius designed a forever ago.

Oh wow, I haven't seen this stuff before. I highly doubt these will make it into antibirth, unless for some incredibly hard to reach / super secret alt floors. But even then, why would _Kilburn focus on that as opposed to fixing bugs / adding stuff to what we already have.
But, you can see that a fair amount of stuff there was added to antibirth, ex: Topheth design to go into the Mines, the Visage, Reap Creep, the Heretic. And of course some of the corpse stuff

also holy stuff the corpse is grim

aight so, after playing some more ill tell ya stuff

the good
  • the visuals are top notch
  • beats are bumping
  • angel deal balance seems better, wouldn't mind going that route now

the bad
  • rebirth mod, rebirth problems that have already been fixed (guppy galore, deals with the devil are "busted" wotl style)

the ugly
  • if the game ends after the [spoiler]the witness or w/e it was called[/spoiler] or even if it doesn't and it's more of a hush like deal, what is the point to go the secret route more than once to unlock the new items per character when i can always go to the chest and have fun instead, aka the darkroom dilemma where one of the paths is always a more lucrative or interesting one

some stuff i listed would eventually get worked if they decide to bring the mod to afterbirth/a+ when it does come out
and i'd still recommend trying this out if you've played rebirth/afterbirth if only just to burn some time waiting for afterbirth+

    So it would be neat if there was some way to maybe like, restart back at basement 1 with all your stuff except the enemies are significantly more threatening (maybe have enemies from other floors leak into earlier ones, and have bosses in normal rooms be more common).

    it most likely wouldnt be an absolute sweep either since you dont have the chest to feed you like 5 billion items to make you overpowered easily, so there would still be a challenge to it.

    I doubt the mod would be capable of accomplishing something that big, but its a cool idea.

    i dont know, the alt floors arent that big of challenge, i don't know why they made them optional behind a price to enter them when they don't really offer an additional reward (iirc the way gungeon had its secret floors function)

    or have them replace some floors like wotl and afterbirth added new variants of floors but perhaps that wasn't technically possible to mod in and they'd have to mess with existing floors to [spoiler]make the knife accessible always, even when the alt floors were random, also the knife thing seems so silly having it bee locked behind these puzzles but then once you've done it it's just always there to get, it's strange...[/spoiler]

    dont have the chest to feed you like 5 billion items

    but that's so much fun, which is like i said a huge problem to any mod hopping to add alt paths without editing the pre-existing ones, they'll just be another darkroom gathering dust after they've been played once for any unlockables they might offer
