dismissing my post with a meme doesn't devalidate it.

Yeah, but when was the last time Zelda was ever released on a computer at all? Why are you suddenly expecting it to be on PC, even though it was never announced for it nor it never have happened in the past?

Are you legitimately handicapped? He wants BoTW to be 60 FPS ON THE SWITCH not ported to the PC you dense forget.
i think you're loving forgetting the loving point that you cant loving play loving breath of the wild on a loving computer gosh loving damnit
Beachbum please read before going straight towards insults.

I would be fine with BoTW being 720P if it was running at 60 FPS because it would objectively play better.
why are some people complaining about 30fps like it's the end of the world. i mean honestly, does the fps really impact how you play games that much? besides, i can't imagine a huge portion of switch players care about fps

INH you better be trolling

dismissing my meme with a dismission of my meme does not declare my meme dismissive.

Insert there is a reason shooters and platformers and fighters always strive for 60 FPS. You are beyond deluded.

and? playing games in 30fps is perfectly fine. you dont need 60fps to play a game. lets not forget we are talking about nintendo here. sure, 60fps looks nicer, but you can still play the game so what is the big deal??
remember we are talkin nintendo here. you dont need high precision to play nintendo games.

beachbum is right
On which, you not wanting it on the computer or only complaining because of 30fps, which isn't a big loving deal whatsoever.

You telling ME to read when you didn't even read my response.
60fps vs 30fps comparison video, it doesn't prove the game plays better, it just shows it looking slightly more smooth. When in gameplay, playing a game at 60fps is the exact same as playing it in 30fps, the only difference is the slight smoothness in looks, not gameplay. Plus Zelda isn't a shooter, it's a puzzle adventure game, it doesn't really need 60fps in the first place. Plus if Nintendo decided to push the console to those extremes, it'd drastically lower battery life. So, they decided to cut the fps in order to save battery life.

Again, this is a Nintendo console made and optimized to be portable. Nintendo isn't known for being high-precision ultra high detail 60fps gaming, that and it being a portable console solidifies that fact. Let me say it again, you're expecting a solid 60fps from a portable console.

You DO realize that all 2d mario platformers were 50 FPS right? If you want a game that requires any sort of precision it requires 50-60 FPS.

Take a shooter for example
If you’re playing your games at 30 FPS then the amount of time your display is sitting on one frame is 33.3 milliseconds. This means that when you move your mouse to aim at a target, it will take at least 33.3 milliseconds before you even start to see the cursor move. This delay is halved to 16.65ms at 60 FPS and so on. Of course this is without considering other factors such as networking latency (in multiplayer games) and monitor response time which can add additional latency.

And yet they made Mario Kart 8 720 so that they could get the game to 60 FPS. Now why would they do that if it made no difference?

Take a shooter for example
Why do you keep comparing casual games to intense shooters??? Shooters need 60fps, casual family games don't. You're making an Apples to Oranges comparison, which isn't accurate to the topic nor does it help anything.

Are you loving blind?

I use shooters and platformers (and figheers and racing games and whatnot) as examples but the bottom line is that nearly EVERY game plays objectively better at 60 FPS. I would choose 60 FPS over 1080p (or in Zeldas case 900p) in a heartbeat because it PLAYS BETTER.

No, are you? Plus Mario doesn't take up much resources at all anyways which explains the high FPS it's achieving which it doesn't require. Zelda is going to take up a forget ton of resources and again, it doesn't require 60fps to play. Zelda isn't a shooter, it's a casual puzzle adventure-game.

No, are you?

Amazing rebuttal. Too bad it doesn't change the fact that you can't loving read

On a loving NES?

With platforming elements (platformers play better at 60 FPS) and combat elements (fighters play MUCH MUCH MUCH better at 60 FPS). You seem to forget that it can run at 900p and is "prettier" then the Wii U version. They could have made compromises so it could PLAY better

I'm just...in shock, at the technical incompetence on display by the three arguing users. I can't even contribute because I'm so flabbergasted.

All I'll say is that I had thought higher of Trog and Beachbum, but it's pretty clear they're just looking for excuses to get angry at something, anything. Incredible.

but it's pretty clear they're just looking for excuses to get angry at something, anything. Incredible.

I'm not angry, just disappointed.

See it this way... We get a whole new console with more power and capability... To run a game at 30fps, why?

If you have to dumb the graphics down to the last gen, its a better choice then not making the game feel nicer to play.
