The scholars explain that them, and the overweight man, are exceptionally intrigued with Dorovian culture- the overweight man in fact a renown poet, minstrel, and artist who has dreamed of writing of and painting foreign lands. The scholars wish to learn the language and the land and write up books for study, and help bridge the gap of their languages to better support free trade between the two.
The visitors, however, are guarded. Not just guarding them from those around them, but clearly seeming to make sure that they are kept from causing any disturbances and trouble. The guards are primarily composed of knights errants, in colorful and flamboyant armor.
The delegation is happy to be amidst such a beautiful land, and it is remarked in the scribe's notebook that it would be bad to allow such a good, friendly nation to go unnoticed. The envoy, relieved to know hat the fat man is not a threat, is relaxed, and welcomes him amongst them. After staying the night, they leave early in the morning so to bring back a good report. On the way to the shores, however, they notice that the people are gaunt, and look at the guarded envoy with eyes of longing and hunger, perhaps envy. They do not scrawl a testimony, nor say a word, but head on to their boats, taking with them all the kind guests and intellectuals who are to come with them. Upon leaving, the delegation remarks that it will send more scholars, scribes, and intellectuals to come.
They depart, heading back home.
