Author Topic: Fallout MEGATHREAD - We got a chupacabra with an automatic weapon.  (Read 41896 times)

This shows already how many people prefer new vegas over the 2 worse spin offs (3 and 4)

That's a pretty neat thought. Fallout 3 & 4 are pretty much spin-offs. They take place in the east coast and barely even mention the events of Fallout 1 & 2. (fallout 4 does have a guy from the west but you just kill him)

Fallout New Vegas is more of a Fallout 3 as it brings back stuff from the original fallouts and directly mentions events from those games. The NCR make a return from Fallout 2, as do various raider clans. The super mutants of Jacobstown were the Master's mutants. (unless im mistaken)

The gameplay is still vastly different though. I would be interested to see a modern take on a true successor to a classic fallout game, with an isometric perspective and all. Fallout: Van Buren (the original fallout 3) would have done something like this I believe.

brother turned dogmeat to a dog table

So, just finished helping the Boomers out. I'm looking to help NCR hold the Hoover Dam, and I want to get as many of the other factions to support them as possible (especially the Brotherhood of Steel).

I'm playing with A Tale of Two Wastelands, so I came into the Mojave loaded up with a stuffload of guns, armour and other goodies.

I have a Fallout-related project in the works that has a 2.5% chance of even coming out. It's called...

FALLOUT: OUTSKIRTS

Borrowing only the arguably best things from the Fallout games, and set in post-apocalyptic Indiana, The Businessman (you) will be on a quest to become aware of your surroundings and possibly even exact revenge on the raiders who sabotaged your caravan to Chicago. It will be up to you, as it would be an open-ended game. It's so open-ended you could probably rp as a slave for one of the kool kids klub-inspired factions for all of your playtime. Along the way, you'll meet a fascist, xenophobic clan of slavers. You'll also meet: inbreeds called the Facos! Oh, and the third faction , the Eshks, are some Native-Americans from a vault that gathered only Native Americans for the sole purpose of seeing how Native Americans are made to hunt so well (basically Vault-Tec is tribal.)

PM me if you wanna see a private wiki on the thing.
Also, yes, this is a glorified fanfiction.

It's really not that great.

I feel like Kellog was a much more interesting character than the main character or really any others in FO4. There have been rumors of additional DLC and something styled after him would be super nice. Also a free roam where you don't blabber about a missing child the entire time would be cool too.

we already got the entire backstory of kellogs flakes though

I am a mod in a fallout group.

We all just talk about how much bethesda fallouts suck.

sounds like a solid waste of time

bethesda did a good take on fallout 4 though it could have been a bit more like fallout 3

They really didn't.

No ammo types.

No damage threshold.

Can't kill anyone you want.

Lack of ammo types is the worst part. I no longer carry armor piercing ammo or whatever for specific enemies anymore. I also can't make my own ammo. The game is now basically whatever loving stuff I find is what I'm gonna use. There is no strategy.
