Gus furrows his brows, eyeing the caved in area of the cave radiating its warmth with a squint before he looks back off in the direction of the caves entrance. There's a shrug before he looks over what fabric he has left and quietly makes a stockpile, before he begins to create a drinking horn from the horn he retrieved from the creature. Before this, however, he drinks a good amount of water from what he collected- enough to keep him going and then some.
Gus also situates his sleeping area nearby the heated spot of the cave, and despite his curiosity decides against beating away at it to see what's inside.
With the rubbish cleared out and the wind circulating in the cave, the cave begins to smell less rancid.
He realizes that the born is actually quite large, and is unsure if it would make a good portable drinking vessel, weighing nearly 15 pounds at the start, but nevertheless is able to hollow out some of the curve that he can reach with stones.
Aǹni checks the shirt and coat once more and finds them decently dry enough to wear and Don's them once more, smiling to herself as she feels the warmth from the fire in them.
She peers outside the entrance of the hut at the trees outside, trying to spot those best for cutting down in the morning, envisioning to herself what she should do with them, and also tries to locate the flattest spot to build a more permanent dwelling, taking note of where the rainwater is draining.
She begins to make plans for setting up a proper furnace as well, just like she has seen many of the townspeople do back home.
As she is lost in thought, her eyes grow heavy with sleep, and she begins to nod off before she jolts awake and realizes she is still crouching at the entrance of the hut. Quickly looking about the hut, she furrows her brows, realizing that she never set up any bedding. She tosses two more logs on the fire, one is dry, and the other dry on the outside, but still green under the bark. She hopes that it will take this one longer to burn.
Finally, she finds a flat space in the hut and sweeps away all stones, sticks and leaves away from the ground and lays head on a log, eventually dozing off to sleep.
