I think the disparity here has something to do with the fact that JonTron is a prolific content-creator with a massive audience and Destiny is some no-namer who has only become relevant now.

clearly isnt a communist if he disparages the working class. also there's nothing inherently wrong with communism it just doesnt really work in practice, or at least it hasnt yet. nobody has actually executed communism properly, but the main debate is whether humans are capable of handling communism without exploiting it

I surveyed my roommate and he knew Jontron but not Destiny. Operating off of this anecdotal evidence, I'm concluding that JonTron has a much wider fanbase.

I think politically JonTron is pretty uninformed since I watched him speak with Sargon of Akkad about why we should stop all social programs and replace them with charity (which fund only about 1/200th as much). I'm sure he's well meaning though and I don't really watch him for any political content so nobody should care. All of your favorite youtubers have political opinions and a whole lot of them don't agree with you.
