Author Topic: explain the cultural integration of the confederate battle flag  (Read 5678 times)

and before someone says "they wanted to keep slaves as a right", they wanted to keep slaves so the southern economy could survive
Well no stuff, lol. This doesn't cast the Civil War in a kinder light at all. All that's saying is, "It wasn't just about keeping slaves, it was about continuing to exploit their free labor!"

It's really subjective imo. Some people see it as a sign of heritage and others see it as a sign of racism. It's the flag that flew over your grandpappy's tank and it was also the one on the back of a pickup truck being driven by a hick

I personally don't salute or fly the american flag for that exact reason

lol what

Rather useless contribution, but I've never seen anybody fly this flag.

Except for Georgia but, they added a emblem in the star circle.

also doesn't mississippi still fly the stars n bars w/ the dixie flag included officially?

"america is bad" - beachbum the america hating terrorist

He's Canadian we give them a pass

Theres a misconception that the only reason for the civil war was slaves (not saying that it wasn't a big part) and therefore the southern flag is slavery.
