Author Topic: [REAL NEWS] Annoying Orange signs cutback on carbon regulations  (Read 8430 times)

This is the literal definition of denial

What's your point?

What's your point?
What's yours- that despite overwhelming evidence both scientifically, historically, and visually that carbon emissions cause cancer, kill thousands and result in birth defects, it's not a big issue?

It's sad because people are literally throwing the evidence right at you and you're just pushing it as far away from yourself as possible so you can act like you know what you're talking about. You're entirely self aware and know that you're wrong but just refuse to admit it under any circumstances, which just goes to show how stubborn you are

Still don't think with modern filtration systems and increased dependence on wind, solar, and nuclear power that this is a large issue.
There are a litany of studies showing that still, in the modern age, coal pollution causes tens of thousands of early deaths in the US every single year.

increased dependence on wind, solar, and nuclear power
We're in agreement that these mitigate the problem. However, because of these carbon regulation rollbacks - there is now a larger economic incentive for people to use coal power rather than renewable energy, which is the exact opposite of what you're saying here.

can u guys not argue about opinions i mean who cares he signed the cutback anyway and now we have to deal with whatever comes out of it were both on this piece of trash so we all deal w/ it.

Threats to human life are not solved by 'just dealing with it.' this is obviously something that will affect us all so it's worth discussing

I'm in favor of coal power, but there needs to be strict regulations in place that require coal power plants to have strong filtration systems for any exhaust they create. kind of like modern cars.
Even that's not enough. Coal mining and working inside of the coal plants themselves carry massive health risks. That's not even getting into coal ash and sludge, which is completely unregulated by the government and surprisingly makes up the US's second largest waste stream after trash and sewer waste.

can u guys not argue about opinions
It's not really an opinion if it's based on actual scientific data and statistical brown townysis.

As a person studying the sciences, this is the way I deal with it. Ideally if people actually know how this stuff works, they'll vote someone in better-prepared to address these issues.

its worth discussing but not to fight over lol our forum isnt gonna solve it if u rlly want to fix it you can protest irl and i dont mean to dismiss you but g hes not gonna change his opinion and you know that

People vote on their representatives (assuming they live in the states). That has an effect.

Apparently there were enough people out there that didn't think it was a big issue and voted accordingly.

as somebody who lives in the Salt Lake Valley (the worst place for inversion tm), my asthmatic lungs are happy and also sad but mostly sad

Apparently there were enough people out there that didn't think it was a big issue and voted accordingly.
unfortunately. hopefully people will understand the magnitude of the issue next time around and choose a candidate that focuses more on the american people than the american corporations

That's exactly the point. People are completely unaware of how bad they're loving the country's future in health and energy by continuing to elect these nutcases.

I feel like someone's looking out for me in the govt. Sorry you lost the election better luck in 8 years.

That's your opinion.

That will never happen and the obvious and most common answer being "loving commies". Is there even a political party other than the democrats and the republicans?
