just let it go to the answering machine
don't see anyone else saying it so here's what's usually the standard response:
BLF isn't your doctor, ask your doctor or parents. Overreaction is better than permanent hearing loss.

Probably minor damage to your inner ear. It will go away with time. Try not to worsen it by listening to loud music or noises.

Thinking about it, how does titinus form? The hairs that vibrate can't possibly vibrate for that long, they're really small.

It's not them vibrating, it's either them being damaged (and the brain interpreting no signal as constantly-on) or the part of the brain interpreting the vibration being damaged.
You can recover from it sometimes but sometimes it'll stay there, forever. It'll never go away completely but it can get significantly quieter if you're in a quiet environment for a long period of time.

imagine being born with it, in both ears. (thankfully it's not very loud and I only hear it in semi to very quiet environments.)

i mean like if shooting a shotgun once can ruin your hearing permanently im surprised there isn't more calls to provide some sort of hearing protection/better communication equipment for armed forces.

Maybe there aren't calls for a reason holy richard
