If there were a proper way of doing it without the massive casualties, the amount of people saved from oppression would be worth it

if you're talking about allied casualties, having south korea invade from the south, china from the north and the US/others wherever it would kind of equal out/lower casualties

NK would probably start killing civilians before we could get to them anyways

NK probably already has.

I meant all casualties

uhhhhh
I mean, China knows Kim is uncontrollable and has distanced themselves from them. They'd probably jump at the chance to keep a buffer zone between South Korea and their home territory.

once again, the problem with an invasion is not really military casualties, but civilian casualties when north korea fires artillery at seoul and kills tens of thousands of people

is any war worth spending money on? we should just buddy up with north korea and go to the fair this weekend, we could use our money for that

if we are truly on the brink of war, major cities in SK should be evacuated just for that reason. but with that arises a question, which is: where does everyone go

the border cities would still be shelled to all hell, and that's best case, as in they don't send any successful nuclear strikes.

if they DO send a successful nuclear attack, it's to hell with north korea. turn it into lake loving Annoying Orange

who cares about the oppressed north korean civilians am I right

damn forgetin straight my guy

if they DO nuke south korea or anyone else, what do we do?

We would attempt to stop the missiles from hitting as best we can and we continue invading. All the high North Korean officials would be tried and given life sentences for gross human rights violations and war crimes.

Killing civilians because a leader decided to kill our civilians makes us no better than them.

Heres something I thought of
Generations upon generations of North Koreans have been indoctrinated and brainwashed with hate against anything and anyone not from North Korea and total devotion to the Kim family that, if there is a war and North Korea loses
How will the civilian population handle occupation of their country, and how are we going to "De-Juche" the North Korean people?

And with all these failed missile tests, I'm half expecting the headlines for the next one to be "North Korea accidentally nukes itself"
