ARE YOU ONE OF THE MANY PEOPLE THAT'D LOVE TO PLAY TEKKIT LEGENDS INSTEAD OF CUSTOM PACKS?
ARE YOU ONE OF THESE PEOPLE?

67 mods

"minimal" "slimmed"
i remember when you just installed one mod and you could play with just that
now it's "how many mods can we cram into this one pack before minecraft starts to burst into flames"
i hate these custom modpacks
i want another nonnel's/pecon's tekkit classic/legends and not this stuff
forge mod loader takes like 2 hours to load on stuffty computers. this is why i normally dont play queeba's.
classic and legends are good stuff
Yes, do it now. There would be so much people happy that it could not even be represented by a real number.
THEN YOU'LL BE IN FOR QUITE A TREAT, NOW PRESENTING THE MODPACK THAT EVERYBODY WAS ASKING FOR:

That's right, you've all asked for it, so I'm gonna host it!
Everyone knows what tekkit legends is, it's a great and well-optimized pack in the legendary tekkit series of modpacks, and so, it needs no explanation.
To download, just get the Technic Launcher and look up "Tekkit Legends" (it may actually already be in the modpacks list, so you can just click on it and download without looking it up in the search).
The rules are simple: don't grief, don't be a richard, and use your common sense.
Alright now, let's get this party started! The server's IP is 174.63.113.114:25565, so whenever the server's online (as indicated in the subject of the OP), come on in and join!

also a reminder that several of the mods include core mods that are required for other mods in the pack to work, and there are also a few rather """minor""" mods in the pack (such as inventory tweaks) that do not have a major impact on gameplay / are not very intensive on resources. the modpack has several mods because its just a thing of mine: whenever i try to make a pack minimal, it ends up not being so minimal as more mods just end up being added, as visible from minimalmods 1-3 before the name change to manymods. the manymods packs typically have more than 100 mods, this pack is just manymods but with some stuff removed for the sake of allowing for improvements in performance, etc. it's gotten to a point where it's difficult (at least for me) to make a proper minimal modpack, as my experiences with manymods influence me to add more mods to packs in order to add more content to them. i'm not calling minimalmods minimalmods because of it's sheer mod size in-game, as that would easily not be minimal at all. the name is based off, as said in the op, the stripping of mods and simplifying of gameplay, which i would define as "minimal enough for someone like me to enjoy for a bit". others may be fine with playing with a lot less mods, and that's fine, but this is just my two cents on the whole situation with the pack having too many mods.

just 10 mods start to make my mc buggy af and want to crash and perform stuff

do people really think that 67 mods isnt minimal? most heavy modpacks like infinity or beyond have 200+. not all of those 67 mods are gameplay-enhancing (as in stuff like IC2, thaumcraft, TE, etc) - most of them are just core mods that dont add much or simple tweaks that are almost necessary to make minecraft playable

I've used 250 once. Someone looked at my monstrosity and literally called me out for it.

how much ram did you allocate jfc

I talked with hillkill, he only has 3GB of RAM (a very tiny amount) unfortunately. I managed to walk him through installing 64 bit java and stuff, but I don't know if he was even successful at the whole thing, as he didn't join the server yet.
EDIT: It crashed and burned for him, which makes sense due to the low amount of memory.

Well, I allocated 8 gigs, but only used 3.5 at any given time.

Edit:
I posted screenshots back then. Here's the link to the post:
