Add-Ons were still possible in V8, but they were much less simple to install than the "drag and drop" method of now.

Oh the memories...

maybe they're .cs files and he just uses notepad to edit them

I don't need no fancy shmancy text editors

Doesn't Notepad++ just highlight key words depending on the scripting language and allow you to collapse and expand functions? I don't need an upgraded Notepad for that

I barely even know how to Torque Script, but having Notepad++ won't instantly make me better

i mean notepad as in notepad not notepad++

and ur wrong having notepad++ is an instant +3 statboost to your torquescript proficiency

I didn't confuse what you said, i just kind of went on a tangent about Notepad++ because it was about editing, so it seemed relevant to respond to that

notepad++ correctly organizes code (youll see what i mean if you open a gmod .lua file in notepad) has syntax and corrections, and stuff autosaves

I know notepad++ can open edit and save basically anything you throw at it which makes it a very useful text editor, esp. for coding

but ye if youre doing basic stuff then default notepad is fine

You're right. I checked recently and...

Thank you for giving me the yearly reminder. I thought Blockland had gone through some sort of gamemode renaissance but it seems i was wrong to think so.

for some reason, sometimes a really innovative server will pop up on the server list for one day and never show up again

Maybe the host feels as if it's too much of a burden to meet the demand of players and drops the project. That's what i did back in 2014ish with the alien super-carrier invasion mode. I got too overwhelmed and couldn't find a reliable and trustworthy host for the server so i just gave up in spite of all the fun everyone had.

oh right i forgot that people made add-ons before v8 using that weird method
