Author Topic: what the forget is it with these fidget spinners  (Read 26084 times)

this tho

in class you can hear the damn things spinning and the kid spinning them 9 times out of 10 isnt paying attention to the class at all
the only thing my friend/lab partner in chemistry does anymore in that class is watch his spinner spin and text

the stuffty ones make noise and completely defeat the purpose of the product

the inherent issue with fidget spinners is that they're a legitimate distraction, especially when abused by, as ive said before, banging it into desks, dropping it so it comes all apart, etc etc etc
if you want something to fidget with, a fidget cube is fine but for the love of god dont go crazy with it and constantly press the loud buttons and crap while im trying to focus on my work

I miss Tech Decks. Back in elementary school, I thought it was kind of cool how you could do actual tricks with them, but for some reason they never got stocked in the toy store near my house. Instead I brought my hotwheels to school and got made fun of.

Fifth grade was rough :(

holy stuff I remember those
I don't think I ever got one but I saw a lot of commercials for them

remember heelys?
my mom got me a pair in middle school but I could never learn how to skate with them so I just took the wheels out and used them as normal shoes lol

I've always been a really tall and lanky kid, so heelys probably wouldn't have worked out for me. The high center-of-mass plus general inathleticism and uncoordination would have made me fall on my ass a lot.

heelies and tek deks were my life

I had an entire collection of tech-decks and a tech-deck skate park at one point.

< People like thing
< Other people hate thing be cause too many people like thing
< Schools ban thing because students like thing too much

Same stuff, different day.
damn those schools. preventing kids from... things...

I can't say I have super strong feelings about fidget spinners but the explosion of fidget spinner related content on youtube was loving surreal.
