This topic is going surpisingly well so far, I expected a stuffstorm.

religious people prays for those subjects and more to bless that person's life, but it shall never be used as a replacement for let's say medical help.

This might sound like a stupid question, but do you think emergencies are an exception? Like, if medical help isn't available, praying for them would be acceptable? There are tons of people who say that God had healed them and stopped them from dying and stuff.
(Not that people stating something makes a miracle true.)
