I understand but still, its the same character and same design. They should do it in a way where it has the gameplay without having to come out with a new sonic era character.
Yeah the character design from the dreamcast is literally the same and hasn't changed since. I guess if they didn't want another third sonic they could tie the SA gameplay to modern sonic so there's half boost stuff, half adventure stuff.

even if a sonic game is absolute trash the music is always decent

Okay so classic sonic is actually from another dimension. Sure. And he can do the drop-dash from Mania. I think they're trying to separate the Mania dimension from the main one so that the Mania team can do whatever they want with the story.

I guess this means Super Knuckles can exist in Mania because it was only retconned out of existence in the main universe.

wasn't that how Sonic Generations worked

When are they going to stop milking sonic?

Super fast sonic character.

Enemies are turtle speed slow with telegraphed moves and with the reaction time of a goldfish with downsyndrome.

Where's the challenge? Accidentally not bumping into a wall?

Sonic moves at crazy speeds, I don't think we need a fancy head-up icon showing up telling you when the enemy is about to shoot their long ass charge cannon.

Sonic is fast enough to dodge at instant speeds anyways without help.

When people stop buying it.

Finishing the level faster than your previous best. A lot of enemies are really only there to provide something to home onto while moving through the level.

Expecting the player to have instant reaction times is dumb. And I think Forces is being marketed towards a younger audience than Mania.

Original sonic did.

Original sonic did.
Original Sonic was a lot harder. Lots of games back then were designed to last a long time, and to be played over and over again until one can consistently win. And, tbh, I think later games like S3&K had way better level design than the original.

I believe someone who use to work for sega admitted one time that 3D sonic games don't work.

Sonic alone couldn't save sega's ass. Fans noticed the degrade in quality.

A new generation kid will never know what the originals were like, thus never noticing a drop in quality. So it's no surprise what type of fanbase sonic has.
