Author Topic: How come the child support system is so broken?  (Read 11535 times)

50% of your paycheck goes to child support.

Fall behind because store is cutting hours.

Go to jail because you can't pay.

Child support accumulates while in jail, can't make money because you're in jail.

Get fired, because you were jailed for 60 days.

Get out of jail.

Frantically try to find a new job to pay off child support.

License gets suspended because you are behind on child support.

Can't drive to find a new job or go to work.

Can't meet your next court date because you can't drive.

Can't pay, go back to jail.

Debt gets higher while in jail.

All assets get sold, still probably not enough to cover the huge debt.

Get out of jail, told you have less than 3 months to pay off the debt or go back to jail.

Can't pay, go to jail.

kill the child -> no child support easy peasy

but hey if you're in prison u dont need to pay child support anymore

I mean, you're basically in jail for up to 18 years or more if the kids decide to go to college after 18.

At least you can be in jail and not have to pay child support anymore for killing the kid. You're technically more free that way.

If you ever have this issue:

_____ Kid Tested, Mother Approved.

jesus CAH has forgeted me up.

Why didn't you wear protection, Tony?

Why didn't you wear protection, Tony?

I'll never have kids and I never will especially after reading about child support.

What makes no sense is how do they expect people to pay if they are jailed, you can't pay child support while in jail.

How do they expect people to pay when they revoke your driver's license? You can't work if you can't drive.

How do they expect people to pay if they revoke their professional licenses? You can't work if your plumbing, electrician, doctors, truck driving, whatever license has been suspended.

it's basically what is known as "Debtor's prison"

I'll never have kids and I never will especially after reading about child support.
I'm sure many of us are happy with this decision

welcome to low income living, where you're too poor to not be poor

It's all a conspiracy to keep us from procreating, they want us plebs to die off and for their higher ups to be the last of the human race, so the world can be theirs.
Everything else is semantics.

First they'll strike the poor,
then them middle class.

Finally they're only be the 1%

You could not have kids in the first place

I'll never have kids and I never will especially after reading about child support.

this is the only good thing i've seen you post on this forum

You could not have kids in the first place
But that's what they want us to think!
We can't let them win!

You could not have kids in the first place

Actually a woman could rape you, have your kid without you knowing and then later claim child support.

Also women have been known to try and entrap sperm donors.

One case in Kansas a man agreed to donate his sperm to a lesbian couple. They tried to get him to pay child support. Thank god the judge said he is not responsible for child support.

You could not have kids in the first place
Being poor = more likely to engage in riskier behavior

telling poor people not to have kids is oddly like telling poor people not to be poor
