Nice. He didn't provoke being harassed but the gym can kick out whomever they want. I don't feel any sympathy for Spencer.

Really?  If the gym was whites only you'd be fine with that?  You're not going to get butt-hurt at all when I ban you are you?  Because private industry can do whatever they want and no one has a right to complain about it, right?

what today comes down to is that badspot really wants to do another purge by the sounds of it

badspot is still a lil upset about bezek

PURGE THE LIBERTARIANS

I wouldn't be "fine with it," but it's within the law. and of course racism isn't exactly the same as not accepting white supremacists. If I owned a gym, I wouldn't accept neo-national socialists, either.

I'm banning you because I disagree with your political opinion.  Goodbye forever.  This is not a joke.
yo, if you're gonna start banning people for having different political opinions, you should put that in the rules

So you'd have an ideological purity test for your completely unrelated service?  You think that's a good way to run society?

if it's a skinhead with a giant swastika on his arm or a well known neo-national socialist or someone causing a disturbance over it, i would deny their service. if they're minding their own business and no one knows them, then I have no way of knowing.

Nah man, private businesses can do whatever they want and because they can do it, that makes it ok to do.  Anything you're physically capable of doing is ok to do.  (this is sarcasm)

What I'm doing here is pointing out massive hypocrisy.  All of these would-be authoritarians are perfectly happy with oppression as long as it's being applied to their opponents.  The instant it comes back around to bite them they cry about it.

The "private industry" argument should only be used when someone yells about "free speech" as though some treatment of an individual is breaking the law or something. It holds no water beyond that and I don't think I used it outside of that context

I'm just saying if you're ostracized for being vocal about how much you hate black people, it's completely your own fault.

I don't think people making that argument are saying that it's against the law.  They're saying that they think it's morally wrong.
