rockstar made a statement
http://www.pcgamer.com/heres-rockstars-statement-about-take-two-shutting-down-gtas-openiv-modding-tool/
"Take-Two's actions were not specifically targeting single player mods. Unfortunately OpenIV enables recent malicious mods that allow harassment of players and interfere with the GTA Online experience for everybody. We are working to figure out how we can continue to support the creative community without negatively impacting our players."
what the actual forget. um, since when is openiv allowing for people to forget with gta online? it wasnt even designed at all for gta online and it has safeguards so it can only be used with singleplayer gta. this statement is bullstuff.

damage control

Seems like they either have no idea what they're talking about, or that they are trying to damage control because they want to release something like the "Creation club" or whatever it was called. Hence the "We are working to figure out how we can continue to support the creative community without negatively impacting our players." part.

This is pretty much the final nail in the coffin to kill off GTA V... Online is as fun as looking at grass grow (and having to pay money to get said grass to grow), and now single player will be as fun as watching paint dry. Thanks for everything Take Two!

Why cant we have nice things

I was sitting on buying gta 5 thats on sale for 35$ or friday the 13th but hearing how the devs are asses and the loving hidden paywall gimmic, im going with the latter at this point.

They're actually handicapped, the summer sale is around the corner and they've decided to forget with their consumers. Barley anyone will purchase the game in the sale because of that

lol I wouldn't say that but yes I agree they forgeted themselves over by doing this directly before the summer sale

Down to 72% overall and 18% recent.
Last I looked it was 77% overall and 33% recent.

Recent has changed to "Overwhelmingly Negative" this is the first time I've seen a game on steam have a score of overwhelmingly negative. There are a total of 185,470 positive reviews and 70,920 negative reviews

i honestly don't think t2 gives a stuff, they've already made about 3 billion off of gta 5 and not everybody mods gta 5, 0 of my friends have done it and they have several hundred hours in the game, not to mention the game being 3.5 years old.

but still you're right, they've given themselves a terrible reputation for any potential customers
