The problem isn't that the game is horribly optimized or whatever. The problem is that the games performance has gotten significantly worse over time.

The game's file size does increase over time as well. When I first got it it was just slightly over 30gb, when I uninstalled it (due to never playing it after I beat it twice) it was around 70gb

it was like 68GB on release..

I remember it being in the 30s rip

well it was under 10gb on the 360!!!!!!!! i have only 30gb hard drive and this is serious problem!!!! >:^(

The game has absolutely no issues with performance. All of its problems are to do with manglement of the DLC/Microtransaction situation.

Actually, $50 is only enough for the first $3.5M; you either need to purchase another smaller shark card, buy a more expensive shark card, or grind out the final $24k. Isn't this embarrassing though? They're essentially forcing you to pay the price of the retail game to purchase a single bike (which, BTW, you can't own without the million-dollar garage, and that requires a million dollar CEO HQ). If you don't want to purchase shark cards, then you better have a solid 3 weeks on your hands to grind out Heists, unless you're willing to gamble on finding an online lobby that's not full of hackers and tards so that you can spend those 3 weeks on CEO cargo (which requires an expensive warehouse).

I'm not going to listen to anybody who even attempts to justify this; it's outright bullstuff and it needs to stop. This is the definition of too far.

for anyone wanting to do ceo work in a public lobby (not like anyone probably will anymore tho but ill put this here in case) try netlimiter 4 and limit gta v and its associated process speed to like 5 kb/s and try to find a new lobby in online. if it gives you connection error go up by 5 until your in a public lobby with only you

Idk how they managed to take a good thing and ruin it with microtra-

i just unplug my ethernet cable for like 5 seconds and plug it back in then everyone starts dropping like flies

I don't mind shark cards
they're just an expensive shortcut to something that I can get through normal playing, not too much grinding for me
I would prefer shark cards to get more expensive rather than cheaper, that way people can play the game instead of just jumping right to millionaire status

and to get a solo lobby, I've found the easiest way is to just freeze the program with task manager for a few seconds

I don't mind shark cards
Then you're probably new to the GTA:O experience, or you've not played for long.

Let's assess how I would get that motorcycle in game (and this is just for the motorcycle, not its prerequisites).

Assume that you play a Heist and the leader is fair about the division of profit. That's $250,000 a pop if you play through the entirety of the Pacific Standard Heist, which with a skilled crew can be done in between 1 - 7 hours.

That's 14/15 successful Heists (You can get the $25k from a Setup if you're assisting, but as a Leader you only get paid in the Heist), which is again between 14 - 105 hours of game time on the same, repetitive, tedious missions.

What about missions? If we assume that the average mission payout is $15k (there's a LOT of factors to a mission's reward price, just trust me on this figure), that's about 234 missions required to make that money. They can last between 5 - 30 minutes, so you're looking at 5  - 117 hours of grinding out even more tedious missions to get that bike, and let's be honest...that 5 hour figure simply won't happen unless you constantly get the same Gerard mission over and over.

The route that most players would use is Cargo, either Deliveries or Vehicles. Firstly, you need to get CEO status by purchasing a company, which is a minimum $1M. You then need a warehouse, and the smallest warehouse (for standard cargo) is $250k. You then need $2K per crate. It's getting expensive...

tl;dr: You're an idiot.

Are you sleeping in the same bed as Strauss Zelnick?

We are convinced that we are probably from an industry view undermonetising on a per-user basis. There is wood to chop because I think we can do more...

Millionare status means literally nothing; Rank/RP is what lets you access content. All you're doing is blocking consumers from accessing the content that makes the game fun.

Back when I actually gave a stuff enough to play GTA:O, I would ride around with two groups of friends, and I've been in both positions, and I've seen people who've joined us and are fresh new players with nothing. It is literally impossible for them to have fun unless I give them my content and take a break, because the game's mechanics are so focused around the items you collect as opposed to the skills you build (like for example, Destiny, which amazingly is less grindy and less bloated with microtransactions than this piece of stuff).

about 200 hrs and i dont mind shark cards

Then you're probably new to the GTA:O experience, or you've not played for long.
definitely not
I've been playing GTAO for probably 200-300 hours since it was released (from day 1 of PC release)

Let's assess how I would get that motorcycle in game (and this is just for the motorcycle, not its prerequisites).
why do you absolutely need the end game motorcycle if you can't afford it
get something that matches what you can afford, once you get to end game then go for end game content

if I were to get that motorcycle, I would wait until I was at the stage of the game where I got money to throw at everything, and then buy it

-I'm bad at making money and want others to suffer for it snip-
just because you're bad at making money in GTAO doesn't mean the rest of us are
I've been steadily making cash, when it was double cash and RP for motorcycle clubs me and my friends made bank and they spent it on cars, I spent it on CEO stuff and now I make even more bank with that

definitely don't do missions once you can do heists, as they take a while for not too much cash
they're pretty fun though

after one play through of heists you should be able to afford CEO for faster money

and crate missions are probably the quickest money, but I wouldn't go for the cheap 2k crates, instead go for the 18k/3 crates to make money faster
if you really want to slow yourself with 2k/1 crate, go for it, but don't blame others for wanting to speed things up

tl;dr: You're an idiot.
I disagree strongly

also, pretty sure this is just straight up flaming(?)

I agree that some things are a bit too guarded by rank, I feel that instead of going to level 120 for the minigun, level 80 might be a bit more fitting for the time spent
but at the same time, I don't mind it
it's progression in an mmo, you're just not looking at it for what it is

and the money is for equipment, like karumas/insurgents/helicopters
which are very useful to have for crate missions and general playing

gta online is a pretty loving half-baked MMO

There's really no such thing as 'end game' when you're playing a game like GTA:O, considering literally every other player has all of the 'end game' content and your only chance for proper survival and success in the missions that you're supposed to be making money in (since they're locked to online free-roam) is to ALSO have that 'end game' content, because of how overpowered it is compared to the stuff you can start out with.
