Author Topic: refugees in sweden are magically """"comatose"""" when informed of deportation  (Read 6703 times)

you know those cliches where someone receives news so shocking to them that they just pass out and go into shock and are dead to the world

its like that but in real life

because you can't just fake a coma
also this is happening mainly to former-Soviet immigrants, not refugees.

sweden is the closest and most stable country that would probably be accepting refugees. its not like they say "i just feel like going to sweden" they actually go to the best country that is most equipped to be handling refugees, which happens to be sweden.

are you insane? it's like 2500 miles from syria to sweden and you would cross about 8 countries in the process

mostly because for years most immigrants and asylum seekers in sweden were from (former) soviet republics

it's obvious it's a cultural phenomenon in sweden considering this kind of behavior hasn't been observed anywhere else

syria? they're from around romania and the balkans. also noticed how i said "that would probably be accepting refugees" it's not like every country in the world allows refugees in, sweden germany austria and france are probably the closest countries that accept refugees, and even then that's seriously far. Sweden probably takes the least amount of time to process immigration, which is why it's a big choice of refugees

loving slavic sleeper cells. Kill them all.

Why do you gotta be such an starfish? The suffering of children is an issue completely independent from partisan politics and immigration debate. What would your minister/priest/grandma say if she saw you going boo-hoo to kids with mental trauma?

Because the whole "suffering of muh children" thing kind of gets old? It's hard to continue to care about the plight of children halfway across the word when it's being constantly thrown in your face. I mean, I still sympathize, but at this point it's like "eh whatever".
I don't care what my grandmother thinks of my morals. That's... a weird thing to even bring up.

Did you read what i posted or..? They didn't conveniently act comatose, they're legitimately comatose.

I read through enough of what you linked to understand it's a legitimate condition. What I don't understand now is why it seems to be localized in Sweden, and why it's
happening mainly to former-Soviet immigrants, not refugees.

but being passed off as happening to refugees and such and so. More information I'd like to know is why these people are being deported? Because if it's a legitimate reason, then I hardly think Sweden is responsible for their mental well-being, to be entirely honest.

It never made sense to me that refugees from halfway across the world are willing to risk life and limb to get to Europe, and Europe opens their star fish for them. Obviously, not every country, but because of the EU, it can't really be helped. There should be some kind of UN policy to have refugees relocated to the nearest stable country instead of having to risk their lives to get to a place tens of thousands of miles away. Obviously that country would be compensated via UN funds, and of course I'm just making conjecture, but yeah. You'd think the real humanitarian crCIA would be enabling all these human traffickers and migrant boats that seem to capsize every over month.

The best thing to do is to come to a good understanding of the phenomenon and then act on it. I don't know what Sweden's policy is on deporting migrants with sick or comatose children is but I'd imagine it makes the whole process a hell of a lot more difficult.

3 million in turkey, 1-2 million in lebanon, 500k-1m in jordan, etc

"think of the children" is cliché but it's still a very valid point
these children will be growing up into people that hate the world governments, if they survive

I don't think I've been exposed to these things any less than you have, but I don't have the same kind of callous attitude towards it. This sounds like a you problem.

I mean, I still sympathize, but at this point it's like "eh whatever".
We have some differing definitions of the word 'sympathy'.

turkey is also another close country, and some of the refugees probably went to turkey as well

It's almost if the refugees have just come from war-torn countries that have undoubtedly left a traumatic experience in their mind, and would rather not go back there.

How loving dare they.

most of the refugees are from neither syria nor iraq

most of the refugees are from neither syria nor iraq
they're from formerly soviet countries though
