😂😂😂 wtf is my guy

the one really stupid decision they did was getting rid of tickets
now the only way to buy anything other than events is to pay real money

ROBLOX as a community and as a game is starting to become a system that hates itself

if you look at the front page, yeah, the games are better in a technical sense, but even a cursory glance will tell you that these games are just rip-offs of GMod gamemodes, other games/properties, etc. etc.
what ROBLOX is known for, the obbies, the tycoons, the original content, is almost entirely clickbait or poorly made, and nobody pushes those boundaries anymore
a developer's library of games is just their attempts to capitalize on what the other devs have made

I mean, compare the mega fun obby with 1000 obstacles to the procedurally-generated obstacle course game where you could test your speed and compete against other players, it doesn't match up

face it, ROBLOX has become a cash-grab for everyone involved
you're never going to see another Keth Shipyards or joshosh's Area 51 ever again, they're just not profitable enough

I'm sure we'll see joshosh's area 51 again.

Besides I've seen like 80 of them just renamed to stuff like "survive freddy in area 51"

90% of the games i have in my favorites from 2010 are broken now and are defunct. it's sad honestly.

But sadly, we live in a day and age where we need start talking to our kids about this early. child enthusiasts will stop at nothing to reach kids and this includes getting into their favorite games. You need tell your kids the app is just not safe for them to play. They may be sad, but later they will know you were acting in their best interest.
This is all quite literally incorrect.

It's funny Blockland loves to rag on roblox so much while simultaneously claiming it's stuff and they dont play it. You can't have it both ways, either you play it and enjoy it or you don't play it and are uninformed about it so can't really complain.

Before 2010 it was a really great game.
idk about you, but 2010 was fun

a good chunk of the people on this forum are former ROBLOX players

we know what we're talking about

In my case, since 2009.

So you basically grew out of it and now think it's stuff even when its better than ever before?

It isn't better than before.
Roblox has removed personal servers, tix, have broken alot of games knowing they would be broken, turned it to stuff only after cassel died and shedletsky left and are practically known now for doing bad endorsements and in the past few years have been getting really lazy on events and piggyback off of major content creators.

Roblox has removed personal servers
good, because personal servers were loving garbage

It isn't better than before.

Roblox does its best to make sure older games are not broken with new update. But it's not their fault if the creator didn't have a rock solid game or if they quit 2 years ago. This is simply how it is, you can't create a company out of nothing based around software and then build on to that software for over a decade and expect everything to always work. Nobody has done this because nobody can predict the future.

Erik Cassel and Shedletsky didn't have anything to do with today's roblox. They were just engineers.

"and piggyback off of major content creators."

You mean the people who make roblox possible with their games? That's what the whole company is. It isn't piggybacking. That's like saying Blockland is piggybacking off the people who host servers.
