Iteration drives everything, even the blockland community.
The problem is, these games are almost identical to their counterparts. Roblox games benefit off of youtubers who do roblox and other games like gmod (Like VenturianTale, for example) who play the gmod versions and then the roblox versions. Kids realise that this version is identical to the other version and play that one, making roblox $$$.

I would be fine with it if it wasn't a complete ripoff and brought something new to the table besides variable knives and other stuff that's practically useless. Otherwise it's just GMod murder.

if it brings something new to the table within the scope of roblox, that means something too. even just the knowledge gained from creating that experience within roblox's development environment is worth something. people don't play these things because of any reason other than enjoyment. if it weren't fun, they wouldn't waste their time on it.

Jail Break - Another rehashed jail game.
MeepCity - Kid center, kinda stupid.
Pokémon Brick Bronze - Another pokemon game.
Phantom Forces - What is this, Call of Duty?
Vehicle Simulator - I like this one. However, I don't like how all the cars are just meshes.
Work at a Pizza Place - This game's retirement is way overdue.
Apoc Rising - I really don't care for it, the game gets stale at times having to run around everywhere.
Ultimate Driving (Westover) - Poor detailing, only thing I like about it is the old Mustang.
Floor is Lava - Only exists because the game we played as kids is a meme.

Jailbreak, pokemon, phantom forces, waapp, vehicle simulator and apoc rising are pretty good games imo

apoc rising is pretty garbage because of the whole KOS mentality everyone has in every sort of survival game, this is kinda fixed with people being able to group with others in seconds

work at a pizza place is a good game, just that nobody actually plays the game which kinda breaks the game for people trying to play the game

if your game is an obvious clone of other games/game modes then it's automatically meh in my eyes

the only games I play nowadays are Wingman8's games (Armored Patrol, Galleons, Urban Patrol), PF and Blood and Iron

alkan proves a good point, that newer roblox is a lot better than the old one. if you would take off your rose tinted glasses then it becomes clear that roblox is a lot better than what it was 8 years ago. new technologies have been implemented, and the top servers arent just stuffty obbies or tycoons anymore.

back then, theres no doubt that there were less resources available for scripting. now you can just do a simple google search for most of your problems in creating your stuffty roblox server instead of writing a forum post and waiting a day for someone to give you an answer

a lot of things roblox has done sounds like a whore for money but in reality it's not like they can really survive as a company without it, considering that they offer generous services such as developer exchange which comes to roblox's expense. roblox even hosts the servers for you, and datacenters dont come cheap.

tbh, it's actually different from the other prison games, because you can actually do stuff after you escape the prison unlike prison life where in after you escape it becomes a Cops and Robbers deathmatch that gets boring in like 5 minutes. In jailbreak, a cool thing you get to rob buildings and soon they will be adding apartments.

Why can't you admit that the game isn't about the exploration of creativity anymore? Roblox would much rather pay long term, experienced coders to keep their game on the front page rather than having new content show up. I remember back then the front page was different and diverse everyday, but it's been mainly the same now for about a year.

You're really defending this game to the teeth and this particular argument makes no sense. There are plenty of games in Blockland that are just like the top games on ROBLOX. There have been hundreds of shooters and jailbreaks and other unoriginal bullstuff hosted in Blockland. Why is it not okay for people on ROBLOX to make these games but its okay for Blockland players to do this stuff? Hell, one of the top games on Blockland for a while has been a loving Jailbreak server. Stop acting like ROBLOX is some completely alien game who's players can't make anything original when a lot of Blockland is the same damn thing.

MeepCity - Kid center, kinda stupid. Plenty of City RPG's have been on Blockland and still are.
Pokémon Brick Bronze - Another pokemon game. We've seen these in Blockland before.

The argument that ROBLOX is just filled with games that are ripoffs of other games is just stupid not only because it's a sandbox game, but because Blockland is guilty of the exact same stuff.
